Chart Pack 4 The Solent Poole/Portland
Designed with ease of use in mind, the straightforward software makes the perfect introduction to electronic navigation. This program is designed to run on the following Microsoft Windows operating systems: NT version 4, Service Pack 4, 2000 and XP. It is not designed for the Vista operating system although a work-around is available that allows it to run on most Vista-enabled machines. Please note that the CD must be in the drive whilst the software is in use.
Minimum Function Spec PC with 200 Mhz Processor, 64 Mb free RAM (128 Mb recommended), CD ROM, 300 Mb Free Disk Space (For Software and One Folio), 16 bit Colour Display. For best performance, 500Mhz Processor or faster and 128 Mb of free RAM.
The software allows real time navigation when linked to a GPS. The Chart Plotter will interface via the PC's serial port with an NMEA output coming from a GPS receiver. Suitable Driver software or an additional serial to USB adaptor may be necessary. GPS and cables not included.
